ANALYSIS:
The applicant is requesting approval of a preliminary plat
for Lot 1, Block 1 of the Sandy Lake Addition, in order to
construct a grocery store on this site. Elevation, site
plan and landscape plans were submitted for review during
consideration of the SUP request (Case #S-1048). Subject
plans were approved by the City Council, and the developer
will be required to adhere to the approved plans.
Screening for this site will be a six foot high masonry
wall along the west property line, and an eight foot
masonry wall adjacent to the northern and eastern boundary,
as required on the SUP.
Staff has reviewed the plat for conformance to City
ordinances and standards, and we recommend approval of the
preliminary plat for Pood Lion subject to approval of the
final construction plans and drainage proposal by the
Public Works Department.
