SUBJECT.' Traffic Light Synchronization II Grant Application
The following projects were identified during our meeting on July 19, 1991 as potential
projects for TLS II funding:
Denton Tap Road - Provide "closed-loop" signal system operation on Denton Tap Road
from Cowboy Drive to Parkway Boulevard (6 signalized intersections).
Belt Line Road - Provide time-base coordination for two intersections, Belt Line
Road/Moore Road and Belt Line Road/Mockingbird Lane.
MacArthur Boulevard/Sandy Lake Road - Improve intersection operation by installing
a new controller and loop detectors and optimizing the signal phasing and timing.
In order to complete the required Grant Application, we need the City to provide the following
information:
- Vendor Identification Number (obtain from Purchasing Dep~rtmsnt).
- Number of City staff personnel devoted to signal timing.
- Type of traffic signal controllers at each location.
- City designated Project Manager (name and telephone no.).
- City designated Financial Contact (name and telephone no.) - this will be the
person responsible for submitting the request for reimbursement.
- Name, position; and hourly salary rate of each City staff member that will be
assigned to the project. The hourly salary rate should include base salary plus
benefits.
