Dear phillip:
Within the past two weeks, Rady & Associates, Inc. has completed the preliminary
design phase, of Sandy Lake Paaad from Denton Tap Road to just west of McArthur
Boulevard. Using design information provided by Sverdrup, we have matched grade at
Sra. 103+27.77-Rady = Sra. 16+45.00-Sverdrup. Due to the proposed grades and
where your contract ends, it will be necessary for you to include in your design and
construction documents, relocation of a 30" DWU (Dallas Water Utility) water main and
construction of a proposed 24" Copper water main from McArthur Boulevard to Sta.
103+00-Rady. The plan and profile sheets included herein, give you some idea of the
extent of design for both the 24" and 30" water mains. We have set preliminary grades
on each pipe winch can be modified (if necessary) from Station 103 +00-Rady to the east.
A note on your plans to the effect of "construction by others" at Station 103+00-Rady
would provide both contractors of the individual projects a point of beginning and
ending.
A coordination meeting to discuss tins and other design issues ~o include the City of
Coppell, DWU, and Dallas County can be scheduled once you have had an opportunity
to ~view the enclosed information.
