Engineers Selected On
Sandy Lake Road Project

The City of Coppell staff has undergone an
extensive proposal and selection process to select
the engineers for the proposed widening,
landscaping and other improvements to Sandy Lake
Road. After receiving proposals from a number of
qualified engineering firms in the metroplex, the
city staff has recommended, and the City Cotmeil
our best to design a project that will serve the
intended purpose and be acceptable to the residents,
elected officials and staff of the City of Coppell."
Rady's proposal to the city identified a time
schedule of approximately twelve months to
analyze, design and receive bids on the first phase
of the project. Included in the proposal are a series
of public meetings for the purpose of gathering
comments from Coppell citizens and listening to
their eoneerus. Rady has also committed to publish
regular updates on the status of the project. These
factors are an example of the firm's commitment
to quality projects and the level of service that they
have delivered to other cities in the metroplex for
over 69 years.

expertise in landscape design.
In an interview with Bennett Ratliff, P.E.,
Vice-President of Rady and Asseeiates, Inc., Mr.

concern of the citizens to improve traffic flow
within and through the city without compromising
the aesthetics of the neighborhood. The city and

Forum Scheduled
The City of Coppell will hold a public forum on
issues relating to the improvement of Sandy Lake
Road on Monday, August 2, 1993 from 7:00 to
9:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Representatives of the consulting engineering firm
of Rady and Associates, Inc. will be present to
answer questions and hear the concerns of the
residents of the city.
This is the first in a series of meetings designated
to address the proposed improvements to Sandy
Lake Road and the individual components of the
project. Please plan to attend and share your
information and ideas.
