Beltline - MacArthur Intersection Update
As of August 25, 1987 the intersection itself is substantially complete. Signals
were turned on signal for a "T" intersection at 1 p.m. on 8-24-87. All perdinent
signage are in place thanks to the efforts of Dana Kamp our Signs/Signals
Technician.
MacArthur Blvd. (North of R/R) will have its buttons in place this week and
a final walk through has been scheduled for 8-27-87 at 1 p.m..
The only item left to complete is the railroad crossing installation and energizing
there controller, which the railroad will do. Jean Maier and I have had several
conversations with Dave Andrew of St. Louis and Southwest Railroad. I was
previously told by Dave on 7-27-87 that as soon as they completed their
emergency repairs in Tyler they would start the Coppell site. The latest
conversation was 8-25-87 when Jean Maier was told by Dave Andrew "We will
be there when we get there". At this time I have no idea when the railroad
intends to complete their crossing.
As per your request for responsible parties on Beltline - Mac'Arthur:
Owner - Tarra Land ~ Jay Patterson, Mike Daniel
Engineering - Nathan D. Maier - Jean Maier
Construction - APAC - Ken Rochell
Railroad - St. Louis and Southwest Railroad - Dave Andrew
