Status of the Opening of MacArthur/ Beltline Intersection
I've talked to Dave Andrews of the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad Company
regarding following up on the tentative schedule to see if this was still
obtainable or how his crews would be impacted by this problem. He replied
that normally it would be okay. However, he has experienced problems in
the Tyler area and his crews are there making some emergency repairs. Upon
their completion, they will return to Coppell to signalize and install the
Railroad Crossing. I asked him if he felt that they would be back in time
to meet the August 10th deadline and he said that he did not feel that was
possible. He will get back with me by Friday to advise on their move in date.
