Dear Wayne:
Please find enclosed a copy of the original bid tabulation for utilities
on the above referenced project, and a copy of the letter forwarded to the
City of Coppell and Record Drawings.
As per our discussion, we originally bid RCCP pipe instead of O.I. pipe,
and the $92,430.50 approved by the City Council was for RCCP pipe. Steve
Corham insisted that D.I. pipe be used. The cost difference is $11.00 per
linear foot; the change in pipe type cost is $28,435.00.
The additional cost above this amount is due to a increase in length of
pipe by 325 feet, and additional valves and manholes. The 24' main was
extended further north so that the stub out would be outside the power ease-
ments, and extending the main east and west along Belt Line Road. The cost
due to the additional length, valves, and manholes is $13,125.00. This cost,
together with the pipe type cost, totals $41,560 still due Rlverchase Joint
Venture.
