RE:
Sandy Lake Road Truck Haul Crossing
Per your direction, we have met with Lee Worth of Caliber Construction. We
discussed with him lowering the speed of the earth movers crossing Sandy Lake
Road. We also discussed the procedures the traffic control flagmen are to follow.
Mr. Worth also brought up some of their concerns of traffic abusing the flagmen.
The following affirmative action will be taken:
1) The trucks will slow down for the crossing.
2) Lt. Leonard and Steve Morton will meet with Caliber Constructions
flagmen at one of their regularly scheduled safety meetings, to be
held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 1987; to go over flagging
procedures for traffic control.
3) Traffic will be stopped as the haul trucks reach specific locations on
the haul roads.
4) Lt. Leonard has scheduled an officer to monitor the traffic at this
location during the peak traffic periods.
5) All signage meets Traffic Standards and is regularly maintained.
