MEMORANDUM
TO:
FROM:
RE:
Frank Trando, Director of Finance
Steven M. Morton, Chief of Land Development
24" Water Main on MacArthur Boulevard
This memo is in response to your request that I research the bill the City has
received from Nathan D. Maier and Associates, in the amount of $134,855.98.
I have checked the City Council minutes from September g4, 1985 through
November of 1986. I have also checked the project file and have found no change
order or authorization to pay anything over what the Council agreed to pay
on September 24, 1985, which was an amount not to exceed $9Z,430.50 (See
attached minutes).
On April Z8, 1987, I talked with Wayne Ginn and Steve Goram about this bill,
and they both stated that they had never authorized any change order to pay
anything over the agreed amount.
The work on this project was satisfactorily completed, and accepted by Randy
Fleming of Ginn, Inc. Nathan D. Maier should; therefore, be paid the agreed
amount of $9Z,430.50.

RE: Beltline MacArthur Intersection - South Side Wheelchair Ramp
Dear Ms. Vick:
Please let this letter serve as notification that the intersection of
Beltline and MacArthur will not be accepted until it is a completed
intersection as described in the City of Coppell Streetscape Plan.
The completed intersection is required to conform to the Coppell
Streetscape Plan, Figure 4, as attached for your reference.
The general approval of the Engineering Plan does not relieve the Owner,
Engineer or Contractor from complying with all ordinances and
specifications of the City of Coppsll.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 462-0022.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Morton
