Dear Mr. Griffin:
During the course of the installation of conduit in the median on the referenced project, our
electric/signal subcontractor was directed by the City to install 2" conduit for future street lights.
This work has been billed and paid on several occasions utilizing the item for 2" SCH 40 PVC
(Open Cut) that was established by a previous change order. This work was removed from the
last pay estimate by the City without explanation.
This work was completed during the course of EBCC's work on Sandy Lake and under the
protection of EBCC's bonds, barricades, and insurance. Our subcontractor completed the work
with the understanding that they were executing the work in accordance with the subcontract
between EBCC and Mel's Electric for the referenced project. Please adjust the final quantity for
the 2" SCH 40 PVC (Open Cut) pay item to 10,320 LF to reflect the actual work completed.
With regard to the additional time required to complete this work, please add twenty eight (28)
calendar days to the contract duration for this extra work. If you have any questions regarding
