Dear Mr. Griffin:
This letter is in response to our carlicr conversation rcgarding additional cement for the concrete
paving and monolithic curb for the referenced project. Based upon the planned qua, ltities and
approximately 11 pement loss, we anticipate utilizing 18,185 CY of concrete on thc paving and
curb. Of that quantity, we had anticipated utilizing !000 CY for hand work that required a 6 sack
cement batch design; therefore, only 17,185 C¥ should need additional cement. Thc 6 sack
concrete batch design that we have produced for use on this project is rated as a 3600 psi (28
days) design. The following prices represent the additional cost for increasing the cement
content for the non-hand work concrete:
5.5 sack (1/2 sack adjustment)
6.0 sack (1 sack adjustment)
17,185 CY $2.~, per CY $41,931.40
17,185 CY $4.86 per CY $83,519.10
If you have any questions rcgarding this information, don't hcsitate to contact our office.
