Dear Mr. Jones:
After our conversation on Monday I contacted our City Engineer, Ken Griffin, and asked him
the status of the project. Ken told me they had been attempting to contact the contractor to
ascertain his status with regard to the completion of the project, as well as the terms of the
settlement agreement you have made with the contractor's insurance company.
Our City Attorney, Pete Smith, has been working with the insurance company to smooth out
these details, and we are hoping that we can have a more definitive answer to you in the very
near future.
