Box 819006 Dallas, TX 75381-9006 RE: Claim #64-589617 Insured: M.A. Vinson Construction Company, Inc. Claimant: Donald C. Jones Date of loss: 5/8/95 Coppell Reference #DR 93-06 Stream G6 Dear Ms. Fuller: This letter is written as a follow-up to our telephone conversation in which I requested copies of the settlement between CNA Insurance and Donald C. Jones and any releases associated with that settlement and what the settlement actually covered. As I stated during our telephone conversation, the City currently has an active project with M.A. Vinson to construct certain drainage improvements adjacent to this property. We are still holding monies associated with that project until the issues concerning Mr. Jones' property have been resolved. If in fact the insurance company has settled with Mr. Jones to the extent that the settlement has resolved the issues associated with the property, then the City will be in a better position to try to f'mal out the project between the City and Mr. Vinson. However, the City cannot move forward until such tLme as we have the aforementioned information. Therefore, I respectfully request that CNA provide to the City of Coppell copies of the settlement agreement between CNA Insurance and Donald C. Jones, any releases associated with that settlement and what the settlement actually covered. During the course of our conversation, you also stated that Mr. Jones initially presented a detailed claim in the amount of $200,000.00 to CNA. I would also request that be provided to the City along with the above information. If you should have any questions or if there are any problem with providing that information to me please contact me at (214)304-3679 so that I can provide you with the name and address of our City Attorney so the information can be released to him. Thanl~ you for your consideration of this matter. Sincerely, Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E. Assistant City Manager/City Engineer
