Dear Wayne,
i ;,!tlV I 7
The review of the Coppell Post Office was held on
November 5, 1990. The meeting was attended by Ron
McCain, City of Coppell; Rick Stewart, Postal Service;
Bill Borrows, Postal Service; and Richard Odlozil,
Natural Design Concepts, Inc. The damages to the Postal
Service Facility landscape and sprinkler system at Denton
Tap and Bethel School Road caused by the construction of
the Denton Tap Road improvements were discussed.
The following items were noted as necessary repairs:
Repair of irrigation system damaged during construction
to include replacement of two Hunter Professional
Series Gear-driven Rotor heads and restoration of
applicable sprinkler water lines along Bethel School
Road.
Replacement of broken lateral lines and heads adjacent
to Denton Tap Road and restoration of water service to
the irrigation system.
Recheck the system once repairs are made to assure
proper operation of all areas and adjust as needed.
Planting of a landscape barrier at the corner of Denton
Tap and Bethel School Road consisting of a 4' wide
planting bed of approximately 20' length with low
growing shrubs and top mulch. Steel edging to be used
around the bed area and sprinkler adjustments made if
needed to provide coverage.
The areas on both sides of the wheelchair ramp (Pavers)
and the right of way area from the sidewalk to curb
should be regraded and sodded with bermuda grass.
Lower utility sleeves to lawn grade.
Remove the concrete overpour by the utility light pole
base.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these
items. These items can be repaired as the punch-list
items for Denton Tap Road Landscape Improvements are
being corrected.
Sincerely,
Llnda A. Smith, ASLA
