On private development projects, vertical and horizontal control is the responsibility of the project engineer. After making field verification of the paving location and width of concrete alley paving in Shadow Woods Estates, the paving width in three locations was found to exceed the paving width set forth by the approved engineering plans. This information was communicated to Mr. Mike Daniel with Nathan D. Maier Consulting Engineers. His firm was also requested to complete field verification of alley paving width and follow up with a written explanation of his findings to you. It is my understanding that Mr. Daniel has completed his investigation and has submitted a proposal for additional easement grants in the three over width paving areas for review and City Council approval.
