Re: Fwd: Bethel & Royal Traffic Signal
Advance detection for this intersection should be easily accommodated through location/positioning of the
cameras at this intersection and programming.
I do not have a detail. No special requirements are made of this type of antenna at this time other than it
meets the standards typical of traffic signal installations. Our current mounting uses an astro-bracket
fastened to the arm near the mast with a 10' extruded aluminum extension pole to which the antenna is
mounted. I would be receptive to alternate installations especially if they are more aesthetic. The pole or
mast nearest the cabinet at this intersection would be fine because it has a clear "line of sight" to either
water tower where an omni antenna will be located.

Could you answer the first two questions for me. They pertain to the signals on Bethel Road.
Thanks

Garry forwarded your info on the traffic signal at Bethel and Royal. A
few more questions...
Do you still want advance detection at this intersection? If so,
how do you want to handle it - advance loops, a second set of cameras,
etc.?
Do you have a detail for the yagi antenna assembly if we need to
include one? I assume we can put it on the mast arm pole by the
controller - is there a minimum mounting height? We dont have a
luminaire on the mast arm pole so would need some sort of riser if you
need to be above 20 feet.
* Confimation lights - do you need any kind of detail or symbol on
the plans for these, or do we just run a 2c cable to them on the wiring
diagram.
The markups noted some items to include in notes or specs:
Vertical heads, battery backup, LED spec, TS2 cabinets. Do you have an
example of these notes or specs?
Do you want illuminated street name signs here?
Thanks...Mike
