TR9101-CS 911022Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. 5485 Belt Line Road, Suite 199 Dallas, Texas 75240 USA MEMORANDUM To: ~L~~Y TO: FROM: Ms. M. Shohre Daneshmand, P.E. Acting City Engineer City of Coppell Mr. Larry Davis Construction Inspector City of Coppell Donald R. Glenn, P.E. ~ Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. Phone: (214) 991-1900 Fax: (214) 490-9261 Metro: 263-9138 OCT 2 3 1991 By: Engineerin? DATE: SUBJECT: October 22, 1991 Project Status Report Denton Tap Road/Bethel Road On October 1 6, 1991 a final inspection was conducted for the traffic signal installation at Denton Tap Road and Bethel Road. Persons in attendance included representatives of the Engineer (Barton-Aschman), the City, and the Contractor. The traffic signal installation was found to be in accordance with the plans and specifications. The traffic signal was put into full operation on Friday, October 18, 1991. One issue that was brought to my attention was concerning the Opticom system. As you recall, the decision to include the Opticom equipment in the Denton Tap Road/Bethel Road installation came very late in the design process. For this project, only the Opticom detectors (on Denton Tap Road approaches) and the detector cable was included as per our bid items. The controller cabinet is equipped with the necessary card rack. It will be necessary for the City to provide the phase selectors for Opticom system operation. As per the request of Mr. Davis, we have reviewed the Contractor's invoice for the traffic signal installation. Based on the final inspection, the invoice appears to be in order with the exception of Bid Item No. 17, 2-channel detector units. The installed quantity indicates a total of seven (7) but only five (5) were installed in the controller cabinet. The remaining two (2) should be delivered to the City as spare units. "As-built" plans will be delivered to the City as soon as Barton-Aschman receives final "mark- ups" from the Contractor. don~daneshl 0.91
