This letter is in response to the request regarding the existence of
landfills on the Baptist Foundation property, west of Denton Tap Road and
south of Bethel Road in the City oi Coppell, now commonly called the
Springs of Coppell Addition (a preliminary plat).
Related cur[ent Staff of the City of Coppell are not aware of any
landfills in and/or around the area described above. Likewise, the
current City files do not contain record of any landfill in that area.
Also, via telephone calls of this office, neither the Regional nor Central
Austin Offices of the State Department of Health have any knowledge of any
active nor closed landfills in the City of Coppell. The only active
landfill known is the Carrollton Landfill, south of Sandy Lake Road in
Carrollton.
We also checked with the Environmental Division of the North Central Texas
Council of Covernments (NCTCOG), and they indicated that they have no
record af any landfill on the Baptist Foundation site.
Please let me know if you need any other information or assistance on this
matter. T~k you.
