RE: Irrigation System Located in Medians/800 Block of South
MacArthur, Coppell, Texas
Dear Mr. Sisco:
As you are aware on Wednesday, January 8, 1991, a contractor
performing work for your firm damaged an irrigation line in the
above referenced median area. The damage created a leak and the
Coppell Water Utilities Division was contacted to shut down the
system. Coppell Utilities staff was unable to locate any isolation
valves in the immediate area.
Upon your arrival at the site you informed my staff member that the
system could possibly be isolated by shutting down the system in
the city of Irving, just north of Cowboy Drive. It was found that
by shutting the irrigation system down in Irving, the medians in
the 800 Block of MacArthur were also shut down. By this action it
has been determined that the medians located in the 800 Block of
MacArthur are being supplied water from the City of Irving water
system.
Therefore, I am obligated to require your firm to disconnect the
medians in the 800 Block of MacArthur from the city of Irving's
water system and connect them to the City of Coppell's water
system. I have attached copies of drawings that identify water
lines that can be/~. p ~ for supply to the system. I have also
pro¥ided water/?~ ~tails for your information.
Plisse cont~ me~ !/8495 to discuss this matter.
s' :erely,
~~at~e e~ntendent
