Shop drawing comments
Dear Mr. Mirtaheri:
The City of Coppell has received the shop drawings submitted on December 20 and 26, 1996
and has the following comments to offer:
1. a. On the pole and arm drawings, use RAL7006 Beige Grey for the finish instead of
Powdercoat Brown shown.
b. Refer to the technical specifications Section 4.0 pages 5-22 regarding the transformer
base specifications and show on pole and arm drawings.
c. Change the general note on Sheet 1 of the pole and arm drawings to state "City of
Coppell" instead of "Grand Prairie".
2. a. On the traffic cabinets, a door in the rear of the cabinet is required per construction specs
for TR 95-01.
b. The cabinet foundation detail shall be per Dallas TxDOT District 18 standards.
3. a. On the McCain Polycarbonate 12" traffic signal brochure, glass lenses shall be provided
instead of polycarbonate.
4. On the 820A Series traffic controllers, provide the 820A OSAM version.
5. On the pedestrian signal Model 7090 brochure, the technical specifications call for the signal
head assembly to have a 1 piece reflector assembly and a flush "egg-crated" or "Z" pa,ttern
visor to be required.
6. a. On the Armorcast pull boxes, provide a local vendor contact name, address and phone
number for this product.
b. Refer to pages 5-37, Section 2.0 through 3.0 in the technical specifications for
requirements on ground pull boxes. Reflect the requirements on the drawings.
c. Also, refer to TxDOT Dallas District 18 Standard Detail Sheet ED (2)-93 for ground pull
box requirements and reflect on shop drawings for pull box type "A" and "C".
