Villages CC 1-3-CS 900116COPPELL PUBLIC 9/ORKS MEMORANDUM January 16, 1990 To: From: Re: Dale Jackson, Building Official Russell Doy~y Engineer Possible Fr'oodplain Violation/Chainlink Fence at Riverchase Oolf Course By eyeballing in the field subject fence appears that it was placed on the knoll southeast of the clubhouse and clubhouse subdivided lot. (See attachment "B".) The fence further appears to bisect that knoll. The fence appears to be on unplatted land. And if the attachment "B" has accurate contours then the fence is above the base flood elevation. However, that cannot be determined without a plat of survey and/or land survey with elevations with the private surveyor placing his determination of the current 100 year flood elevation there upon with his seal. The information and data we can muster up is not conclusive; however, while the elevation of the knoll appears to be above the 100 year flood elevation, its location relative to the defined FEMA and local "floodway" is that the fence is within the floodway and therefore, obstructing the floodway and should be removed. Please forgive the delay in the response. Thank you. RRD/ymh
