Previous request for floodplain permit for fence
The attached memo was sent to you on November 17, 1989, I stili have not received any
determination from your office. We are unable to pursue this matter, until we do receive
some determination/rom your office. I would appreciate your quickest response on this
matter.

Floodplain permit for fence
On July 7, 1987, we issued a permit to the homeowners at 114
Winding Hollow to erect a fence around the swimming pool. The
permit clearly showed that the fence would not encroach into the
floodplain. In June we received a complaint from an adjacent
homeowner that the fence at 114 Winding Hollow extended across the
property line over onto the property line at 118 Winding Hollow.
Upon investigating the complaint, we found that not only did the
fence encroach onto 118 Winding Hollow, but the fence also
encroached into the floodplain at the rear of the property.
The homeowner agreed to move the fence however no work has been
done to this date, in fact, when we notified the homeowner that we
were in the process of issuing a citation to her for maintaining
a fence in the floodplain she decided to request approval to allow
the fence to remain in the floodplain.
Please review the request and determine whether or not the fence
can remain in the floodplain and if you will be able to grant a
floodplain permit for this structure.
