Woodridge Channel
The Fire Department contacted me last week about the channel east
of MacArthur Boulevard because they were working on a complaint
(high grass). I explained to him that the City had not ever
maintained that channel and that the shopping center had been. He
(Cpt. Watson) contacted me again after speaking to the management
company and sending them a letter. His verbal correspondence
indicated that the management company, at least at this time, has
no intention in maintaining the easement because it is not on their
property and because the property is in a state of foreclosure.
The easement according to plat is not platted on private property
and was most likely purchased by the developers of woodridge to
facilitate the drainage in the area. No one is paying property
taxes on this. Attached is a request to finance to research/copy
the easement/deed volume 81180, Page 3301 D.R.D.C.T. Chad
apparently made trips to the county for other filings.
