Testing Laboratory:

Earthwork:
Road & Bridge District No. 1 (RBD)
MIKE SHARP - Superintendent
1)
Fill complete on north slope. RBD doing fine-grading this date,
cutting slope to sub-grade. Construction access ramp is to be left in
place and removed by MAV as work on the riprap progresses.
2)
RBD working fill on south slope. Scheduled to have all earthwork
complete by Thursday, August 12th.
3)
RBD to remove temporary creek crossing upon completion of all
work by MAV and RBD.
Concrete Work:
1) MAV to commence mobilization on Thursday, August 5th.
2)
Discussed problems with excavating 9"-wide toe-walls. MAV may
use trenching machine.
3) DPW agreed to permissible construction joint in cut-off wall.
4)
DPW expressed concerns with uniform coverage of curing compound
on concrete riprap.
5)
Discussed minor field changes of concrete riprap edges to fit existing
field conditions.

Material Testing:
1)
Reviewed Contract requirements for 24-hour notice to laboratory. All
request for testing to be requested by Project Inspector - Bud
Snodgrass.
2) Copies of test reports to be submitted to:
Dallas County
Contractor
Redi-Mix
City of Coppell
Coordination with others:
1)
Discussed proposed work by other Dallas County departments, City
of Coppell and local citizen interest of project.
Schedule:
1) Discussed need to complete project in an expedient manner,
hopefully, with 30 working days.
