RE: State Highway 121 Water Line Project WA 98-01
Dear Mr. Bushy:
The City of Coppell is in the process of bidding a water line project that will go along the east
side of S.H. 121 from Sandy Lake Road to Corporate Drive. We have previously provided
notification and plans to all utility companies including CoSerr concerning this project. Also,
plans were submitted to TxDOT and a permit was issued by TxDOT for the City of Coppell to
install the referenced water line. During field surveying for the design of the water line, it was
noted that a new underground line had recen~y been placed in this area. That line meandered
throughout the TxDOT right-of-way. Information was sent to CoScry Communications who
responded back that there were no noted conflicts. Recently, while working with CoSerr it
was brought to my attention that there are two divisions of CoScry, one being CoServ
Communications and one being CoServ Electric. Our prior notification was sent to CoScry
Communications and I am unsure if that information was processed on to CoSerr Electric. It
is our intent to bid this project and start construction in March 1999. With this letter I am
providing a copy of the construction plans. If in fact the recently installed utility line is a
CoServ Electric line then it should be investigated as to potential conflicts with our water line
construction and relocated if there are conflicts.
Again, our in the field survey shows that some recently installed utility line in this area could
potentially be in conflict with the water line. The permit that we have received from TxDOT
indicates that the corridor that we will be in is clear of any other utilities. Please investigate
this issue and respond back m me as soon as possible. If you should have any questions please
