Concrete Mix Design Submittals

The City of Coppell has received notice from Teague, Nail & Perkins that three of the mix
designs submitted do not meet our minimum requirements for this project. See the attached
letter for details on what difl'ers from your submittals and our project requirements. Please
· resubmit designs tbr these mixes for consideration.
In addition to concrete mix submittals, the three items at the bottom of the letter should also
be provided for consideration as soon as possible. If you have an3' questions or need any
additional information, please feel free to contact me.

West Sandy Lake Phase 1 - Contractor Submittals
Attached are the submittals from Tiseo Paving that were submitted at the pre-construction
meeting. TNP has reviewed these submittals only for general conformance with the design
concept of the project and general compliance with the information given in the Contract
Documents. The submittals appear to be in general conformance with the following
exceptions:
1. Redi-Mix #724 5-Sack Mix Design. Thi__s mix does not m?_.¢~he__minimum requirement~
for any concrete to be used on this project. It ~s ~ndlcated to be used on Concrete Flatwork,
but the requirements for that use is a minimum of 5.5-Sacks and 3600 psi.
2. Latimore Materials #1261 5-Sack Mix Design. This mix does not meeI the minimum
requirements for any concrete to be used on this p~-oject. It is indicated to be used on
Concrete Flatwork, but the requirements for that use is a minimum of 5.5-Sacks and 3600
psi.
3. Southem Star #9616 5 Sack Class A Mix Design. This mix dogs nnt -~,~,~t the minimum
requirements for any concrete to be used on this proj'~ct. It is indicated to be used on
Concrete Flatwork, but the requirements for that use is a minimum of 5.5-Sacks and 3600
psi.
The following is a list of items that still need to be submitted by the contractor according to
the Contract Documents or the list of submittals in Section II of the Preconstruction
C.~Trerence Agenda:
attic Control Plan showing each phase.
Precast box culvert and RCP design and details. The submittal list indicated that there
was a Letter of Certification for RCP from Hanson Pipe & Products. However, TNP could
not find this letter in the submittal folder.
