Dear Mr. Dry:
Enclosed please find a set of construction plans and specifications for the above referenced
project. The project consists of the removal of failed headwall structure and pipe segments and
the construction of a new junction box structure and headwall structure on piers, and the
installation of 42-inch IlDPE pipe. The project is advertising and bids will be opened on
February 14, 2006.
Please submit a proposal with an estimate of the type and number of construction materials tests
required for the project based on the plans and specifications, and the city's standards. Section 5,
Description of Pay Items, in the specifications provides detail on the scope of the work involved
in each pay item. Standard construction details can be found on the city's website
(www.ci.coppell.tx.us). The contractor is responsible for payment of materials testing done before
8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m., and for any re-testing.
