Construction Materials Testing
Dear Mr. Dry:
Enclosed please find a set of construction plans and specifications for the above referenced
project. The project consists of the removal of approximately 40,000 square feet of concrete
paving and failed subgrade, and the installation of cement treated base and 8-inch, 4,200 psi
concrete pavement. The project is advertising and bids will be opened on February 7, 2006.
Please submit a proposal with an estimate of the type and number of construction materials tests
reqaired for the project based on the plans and specifications, and the city's standards. Section 5,
Description of Pay Items, in the specifications provides detail on the scope of the work involved
in each pay item. Standard construction details can be fi~und on the city's website
(www.ci.coppell.tx.us). The contractor is responsible for payment of materials testing done before
8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m., and for any re-testing.
