FY 2005 Dallas County CDBG Funds
Samuel Boulevard ADA Ramps
I sent preliminary plans to the TDLR in early November 2005 to request
a variance on the new section of sidewalk tying the new ramp into the
existing sidewalk. We did not want the possibility of having to replace
large sections of the sidewalk between the ramps if the cross-slope was
out of compliance. It appears that it will be several more weeks before
we know if the variance is granted. We can not start the design of the
project until the variance is granted, so this puts us behind our
anticipated schedule for the design and construction of this project.

This project is in its final review as of Dec 16, 2005. Your letter of
compliance should be arriving soon please let me know if you haven't
