I spoke to Steve about the proposed park dedication to the City
by Centre Development as a part of the Springs of Coppell plat.
Steve indicated that in order for the City to remain eligible
for a grant, no dedication could take place which would place
the property in the City's hands.
A lease of the property by the City or an instrument stating intent
to dedicate but the land remaining the owner's hand would be
alternatives until dedication at grant approval the State might
approve.
The point Steve considered most is that the land and its ownership
are not to be transferred to the City until grant approval was
made. If that takes place prior to the approval it would make
the property ineligible for matching purposes.
