Dear Keith,
Today, Thursday Mamh 3, 2006, I was asked by Suzan Taylor to conduct
and inquiry with DART regarding the re-issuance of the permit for
construction in their ROW where it crosses Denton Tap Road in Coppell.
I contacted George Avalos (214-749-2858), who is responsible for
processing and approving permits. Mr. Avalos contacted me late this
afternoon to inform me that permission had been granted to perform the
pot-holing operations and other utility discover activities adjacent to
the water line crossing alignment in the DART ROW.
Mr. Avalos stated that if all the DART utility parameters were being
followed, as was indicated in the original permit application and
approval, the contractor could proceed to install the casing and water
line at the revised elevation (grade).
He stated that the permit approval letter was being forwarded to
another department to be sent to the City immediately, and that the
contractor could proceed given that all the DART policies are being
followed by the City and the Contractor.
I hope that this assists the City in proceeding ahead with the work at
the DART ROW.
