Beneficial use of Deforest Road Pumping Station
Dear Mr. Ferrara:
This is written in response to your letter dated February 17, 2006 concerning the beneficial
use of the Deforest Rd. Pumping Station. Please be advised that the Deforest Road Lift
Station is not operational at this time and the city is receiving limited benefit from it.
Because the level transmitters have not been installed, which prohibits the monitoring and
use of the city's SCADA System, the only way to observe the operation of this station is to
physically be on site and visually observe the operation. Also, the flow meters measuring
flow into and out of the station are not operational.
With the old Deforest Road Lift Station now disconnected from the SCADA System and
without the new one connected to the SCADA System, I need to have utility personnel on
site more frequently, especially during off hours, to insure that the station is pumping
sewage into the force main.
I am unsure why your letter was provided Io the city concerning the bcncficial usc, but
please be advised that the calendar time associated with this project continues to accrue.

Company has the Deforest Lift Station operational and the City of Coppell is
receiving beneficial use of this station. We will continue to proceed toward the
final completion of both the Sandy Lake and Deforest locations.
