Subject: DeForest Lift Station Pricing Request
Dear Mr. Ferrara:
Please provide pricing for providing and installing a 6-inch wastewater air & vacuum valve at the
DeForest Lift Station. This valve will be installed on the 30-inch header inside the valve vault between
the tee for Pump DFP-3 and the coupling (see Sheet DM-l). Installation of the valve in this location
will require installing a 6-inch tapping saddle on the 30-inch header and may also require some
reconfiguration of the thrust rods. In addition, a 6-inch gate valve with a hand wheel is needed
between the air & vacuum valve and the flanged outlet to allow for isolation. The air & vacuum valve
shall be Crispin Series SA or equal product by VaI-Matic, Apco or Golden Anderson. There is
approximately 5'-8" clear between the top of the 30-inch header and the valve vault ceiling. We have
confirmed the dimensions of the Crispin Series SA valve (including the gate valve and tapping saddle)
and it will fit in this available space. If another manufacturer is supplied, please provide confirmation
that the valve assembly will fit in this space.
