The reconstruction of the intersection of Coppoll Road N. with W. Sandy Lake Road is part of
the W. Sandy Lake Road project. The city closed Coppell Road N. during the week of March
12, 2006 (spring break) in order to install the proposed 48-inch storm drain improvements.
The proposed storm drain is generally located under the centerline of the existing Coppell
Road. During the installation of the pipe, the contractor has come across two conflicts with
existing Verizon facilities. The installation of the storm drain was shown in the 2003 plans
that were sent to all of the utility companies for utility relocations. Attached is a plan sheet
fi'om the 2003 plans showing the approximate location of the conflicts. We have less that a
week to complete the storm drain installation and need to have the two conflicts resolved as
soon as possible.
