Dear Mr. Choudhury:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the preliminary plans you submitted to our office for creek
modifications at the above referenced home. We have the following comments to offer:
1. The existing creek, which you are proposing to relocate, appears to be a Jurisdictional
Waterway. Please initiate correspondence with the Army Corps of Engineers to determine
whether they will require the issuance of a permit. Upon this determination, and at the time
you are ready to apply for a Grading Permit from the City of Coppell, provide a copy of the
Corp's approved permit or documentation indicating that one is not required.
2. The finalized plans that accompany your Grading Permit application should contain
hydraulic calculations showing, at a minimum, that the modifications to the watercourse you
are proposing will provide adequate capacity. Additionally, some measure should be
included to prevent erosion of the channel at the comers.
