We have the following comments to offer: 1. The existing creek, which you are proposing to relocate, appears to be a Jurisdictional Waterway. Please initiate correspondence with the Army Corps of Engineers to determine whether they will require the issuance of a permit. Upon this determination, and at the time you are ready to apply for a Grading Permit from the City of Coppell, provide a copy of the Corp's approved permit or documentation indicating that one is not required. 2. The finalized plans that accompany your Grading Permit application should contain hydraulic calculations showing, at a minimum, that the modifications to the watercourse you are proposing will provide adequate capacity. Additionally, some measure should be included to prevent erosion of the channel at the comers. If you have any questions, please contact this office at your convenience.
