Modification of Tributary G-1 Downstream of Bethel Road West
Suzan/Loretta,
Due to workload, I am just now reviewing the annual compliance report that
was submitted to the USACE in Oct 2005. The report contains a request to
extend the due date for submittal of the recorded deed restriction for the
0.48-acre mitigation area. However, the report contains a schedule of
activities in which completion of the deed restriction is estimated for
January 2006 and Initiation of construction of the project in February 2006.
In light of the amount of time that has passed, I am contacting you to
inquire whether the deed restriction has been completed and submitted to the
USACE and to find out if work has begun on the project.

Thanks for the info. Was in the field yesterday when Ken called and
left voice mail re: this. Was going to call you this morning when found
your email. Will contact Ken and see what we need to do. Hoping he
will just let us extend date to July 2006 when you plan to advertise
project.

I will let you respond to Ken.
We have met and are working with the two property owners to acquire
the
property necessary for the construction of the channel. We are
working
on a land swap with Chaddick so that the city will own the land
outright
and not acquire it as a drainage easement. We have also met with the
Skinners. From that meeting, I am fairly sure that we will purchase
the
land and not acquire it as a drainage easement. This will also
allow
the city to have complete control of the property and deed restrict
it.
We plan to advertise the project in July 2006. The project has been
delayed due to us working in conjunction with Grapevine and the fact
that the other main route into town - Sandy Lake- is under
construction
until Novemeber 2006.
