Dear Sir or Madam
The City of Coppell will be acceptmg bids on the referenced project untIl 2 00 p.m on May 2nd,
2006 at which tIme they wdl be publicly opened and read. The Scope of Work IS generally as
follows ThIS \\ ork shall consist of the mstallatIon of two traffic sIgnals.
TR03-01 (A) consists of the removal and replacement of the eXIstmg traffic sIgnal at the
mtersectlOn of Belt Lme Road and MacArthur Boulevard
TR03-01 (B) consists of the mstallatlon of a new traffic sIgnal at the mstallatIOn of MacArthur
Boule\ ard and Bethel School Road/Court.
The \\ ark at both of these mstallatIOns shall mclude all components necessary for the "turn key"
constructIOn of the traffic signals as shown m the plans, mcludmg but not limIted to
slf:,'11als'slgnal heads, controllers and cabmets, OptIcom@, wmng, pull boxes, condUIt, pole/mast
amlS With foundatIOns, electncal hookup, VIdeo detectIOn, etc ThIS work shall generally
consIst of all necessary work to produce operatIOnal traffic SIgnals at both locatIons
Special attentIon should be paId to sequencmg of the work at the Belt Lme Road and
MacAJihur Boule\ ard location. It]S ImperatIve that the eXIstmg signal remams m operatIOn
dUrJng the lllstallatlon of the nevv SIgnal Th]s will allow umnterrupted traffic flow dunng this
