Reference: Request for Waiver of Lime Stabilization
Vista Point II/Lot 4, Block A Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Ms. La Mattina:
Please accept this letter as our formal request for a waiver of the City requirement for lime
stabilization under the private paving for the above referenced site. In-lieu of lime stabilization
we are specifying that the concrete shall have a strength of 4,000 psi. This request is being
made based on recommendations in the geotechnical report that was prepared for this site by
HBC Terracon (Report No. 94035248). This report states that, "rigid (concrete) pavements may
be placed on unstabilized compacted subgrade". Upon request Pate can furnish a copy of this
report.
