What type of work is being done that is causing such a long stretch of Freeport to be taken down to two
lanes? I saw the cones and the lane was blocked but I never saw any work being performed Is it really
necessary to block this off when there is no one working? This is a real problem in the mornings with truck
traffic and students trying to get to Middle School West. In addition, there is construction at the intersection
of Bethel and Freeport. The crew there today blocked the intersection to move equipment. I witnessed two
near accidents because of this. This is a highly congested area in the morning. If you continue to have this
work happening I would suggest an officer be dispatched to this location for traffic control
