Notice of Public Hearing

Under Dallas County's Community Development Block Grant Program, Dallas County can fund
Community Development projects /activities in the County's unincorporated areas and in those fourteen
cities (Balch Springs, Cedar Hill, Cockrell Hill, Coppell, Duncanville, Farmers Branch, Glenn Heights,
Hutchins, Lancaster, Rowlett, Sachse, Seagoville, University Park and Wilmer) which have chosen to
participate with the County in this program. Such projects must either principally benefit low /moderate
income household, eradicate blight or eliminate a community threatening condition. For the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 2006, there are $1,959,616 in CDBG funds and $636,463 in HOME funds.
To aid in the development of proposed projects, citizen input is desired and the following public hearings
will be held:

In addition to the above public hearings Dallas County will hold a public hearing on April 11, 2006 at 9:00
a.m. at 411 Elm Street, V floor, in the Commissioners Court Room.
The public is encouraged to attend any of these meetings and to suggest how these funds can be used. The
public may also contact the County's Community Development Administrator, Kim D Nobles, at (214) 653-
6368 with any questions, comments or suggestions. Comments and suggestions concerning the above will be
taken until May 12, 2006.
