Mr. Joe Swinnea Project Manager Landmark Structures, Inc. 1665 Harmon Road ;~c~[~~ 76177 Re: City of Coppell Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank Dear Mr. Swinnea: As you are aware, a walk through was completed and a punch list prepared for the Wagon Wheel Elevated Storage Tank project on October 13, 1999. Since that time, some of the items on'the punch list have been completed, however, a number of items still need completion. These are as follows: Exterior 1. One landscape light on the north side of the property needs to be made operational and the light base repaired. 2. All storage bin lights need to be re-directed to provide satisfactory coverage of light in the storage bin area. 3. Some irrigation spray heads need to be adjusted to provide proper coverage. A stand of grass has not been established in some areas and numerous plantings are dead. These plantings need to be replaced once the spray heads have been adjusted. Where grass is growing, it needs to be mowed to allow the spray heads to operate. The grass will need to be mowed until the buffalo grass is installed next spring. 4. Letters on the entrance sign need to be straightened. 5. A certification of the double check valve needs to be forwarded to the City. 6. Channels need to be cut in the mow strip located on the south side of the north drive, east of the entrance gate to drain trapped water. Minor grading inside the fence will also need to be completed to drain this water. 7. Limestone shavings need to be installed between the driveway and mow strip in the fenced area on the north and south side of the tank as shown in the construction plans. \XSJI~SJF_VOL2~PROJECTS\C LERICAL\COPPELL~96-149~L.ETTERS\CONST~LNDMK20.DOC ? r ' ' · !' ! 1 Mr. Joe Swinnea Landmark Structures November 11, 1999 Page No.2 Interior 1. The City continues to report SCADA communication failures from this tank. These failures need to be corrected. 2. The ladder lights are not operational. 3. The emergency battery pack lights located along the ladder are not operational. 4. The intrusion alarms on the truck doors and personnel door are not operational. 5. The chlorine analyzer needs to be calibrated. 6. The hydraulic opener on the personnel door needs to be made to operate correctly. 7. Record drawings need to be furnished to the City. A month has passed since the walk through, and the City reports that satisfactory progress has not been made to complete theses items in a timely manner. Consideration of a reduction in retainage will not be made until these punch list items are completed. A meeting is scheduled at the project site for Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at 8:30 am to discuss completion of the project. Please arrange for yourself or a representative to be at this meeting.
