LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL

To Whom It May Concern,
It is the intent of this letter to propose to the parties involved a critical path
of construction of the above mentioned project in regards to the water tight ring and
Cover.
Upon preparing the purchase orders for this project it has come to light that
atop flan hol d mn d(111r:n� nd cy st item I am being
told by manufacturers that a cast can be made and this ring and cover cast for a
costly fee, but more importantly with an extremely long lead time (6 to 8 weeks). We
are proposing as an alternative to use the standard "Storm Sewer" bolt down ring
and cover (the cut sheet included). By using 3/8" x 3-3/4 "stainless steel wedge
anchor bolts we can secure the ring to the pre -cast top slab. Then we will form up
the 6" needed to flush mount the ring & cover for the full length / width of the top
slab, dowel in 8" No. 4 bar 24" OC 4" into the top slab the remaining 4" to be
embedded into the new concrete (5000 PSI).
We will incorporate the attached rebar certification as stipulated in the plan
documents. #5 bent bars with #3 spiral ties at 6" pitch with the two flat turns at top
and bottom of both piers. The steel will tied into the steel for the headwall ( #4 rebar)
