This is in response to your letter of May 17, 1989, concerning
the zoning of a site for a landfill operation an Sandy Lake Road
i rt Corral 1 ton,
This office has na objection to this proposed location, provided
adequate safeguards are incorporated in the design to insure that
na contaminants can flow into Denton Creek and subsequently
pollute the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.
With regard to the section of Sandy Lake Road and the bridge over
the Eim Fork located in the City of Da11as, Public Works has no
plans to improve the roadway ar upgrade the bridge structure. 1t
is our recommendation that the proposed Alternate Routes be
implemented to prevent trucks from traveling across this
structure which is rated for 24,DO0 pound grass loads.
