Per our telephone conversation last week, you agreed to grant Advanced Paving
Company an extension on the timeframe to complete the repairs on Freeport Parkway
As you know, the city decided to change the scope of work from installing plant mix CTB
to installing flex base This saved the city 50 per square foot on the job, or $20,000 00,
allowing you to do more repairs to the street, as the repair areas have grown from your
initial estimate As a result of this change, the flex base installation is taking
considerably longer to reach the proper densities than the CTB, therefore, I requested
an extension of 2 - 3 weeks on the job in order to allow us to properly complete the
project. You agreed to allow this extension as long as we were continually working at
the site and making process You said you've been very pleased with our diligence in
completing the project to date, and as a result, did not think it would not be a problem in
granting this extension
I appreciate your cooperation regarding this matter, and we will do everything possible to
fulfill our contract with the City of Coppell to your utmost satisfaction
