In the past decades TxDOT staff of Dallas and Fort Worth have worked hard to plan and Implement the
necessary transportation improvements to sen e Northeast Tarrant County Northwest Dallas County,
Southern Denton County and the Metroplex as a whole In this effort they have cooperated as partners w>>th
local governments to ach~e~e the best results possible for all involved
Since the late 1990's TxDOT staff m the Metroplex has worked closely with surrounding cities, as well as
DFy~' International Airport and the North Central Texas Council of Governments, in developing a plan for
the S H 114 121 comdor Thls group has developed a proposed plan being presented here tonight for
adding capacity, improving traffic flow ehmmat~ng dangerous weaving movements, and improving access
throughout the aforementioned comdor
`I~he city of Coppell supports the proposed plan as presented by TxDOT The plan provides a safe movement
of traffic through the comdor while maintaining essential access for impacted cities and DFW International
Atrport.
The city of Coppell would like to request one additional amendment to the ex~st~ng plans Bethel Road is an
extension of Bass Pro Road within our City l~m~ts and ~s heavily utilized by commercial and industrial
traffic The present plans do not call for an_y s~gnage that designates that Bethel Road can be accessed
eastbound off of the 121 corridor at the far northern end of the plan presented tonight. We request that
