In 1992, the plat for Villages of Coppell 3B dedicated 10 feet for the extension of DeForest Road
When DeForest Road was extended by the developer of Windsor Estates, the road was curved away
from Villages of Coppe113B, thereby creating some excess right of way Because the land was
dedicated by Villages of Coppell 3B, six property owners that loved on Brentwood and backed up to
the excess right of way approached the Gty m 2003 about getting the land back. On July 22, 2003,
City Council approved a License Agreement with property owners at 924, 928, 932, 936, 940 and 944
Brentwood to allow them to relocate their fences approximately 10 feet from where the fences were
previously located There was then some confusion concerning the 10 feet m question. However, on
January 13, 2004, City Council reaffirmed the prior agreement to allow the relocation of fences for
property owners along Brentwood. At that time, information concerning this action was provided to
the property owners and the Bwlding Official stating that the property owners could now pull permits
and relocate their fences The property owners are not required to relocate their fence, that option ~s

This issued was discussed and presented to Council numerous Mmes over an eight month from June
2003 through January 2004 Again, the final action was to allow property owners to relocate their
fences within the 10 foot area dedicated by their subdwision when rt was platted m 1992

Hello,
I love m Windsor Estates, on Deforest Road. Behind our entry sign to the neighborhood, two of the
home owners behind the sign (not hvmg m Windsor Estates) are m the process of extending their
backyards about 10 feet. I thought that area was an easement that the city owned, and they were not
allowed to extend further than what their lots were initially built on?
Please advise,
Kelly Revis
