Dear Mr. Skipwith:
I am writing to you to follow up on our telephone conversation of Friday, February 16, 1996
regarding the status of the flood plain study for Andrew Brown, Ir. Community Park West
and proposed development that the city is currently preparing for the site.
Based on our conversation on Friday, it is my understanding that the proposed park
development would not constitute a concern in the flood plain study model. The Leisure
Services Department is preparing to overlay the existing parking lot with a two inch (2")
layer of I-IlvlAC.
We will also be moving forward to advertise bid on the construction of a concrete trail from
the parking lot to the concession/rest room facility, provide drainage work near the
concession building, and install a new playground to replace an older non-accessible system.
Resurfacing of the parking lot will take place in mid-March, with the remaining construction
scheduled to begin in April.
