Halff Associates arrived on site at approximately 2:30 pm on January 27 for construction
observation. At the 60" RCP site at Fritz Drive and Freeport Parkway, nothing new has
occurred since the January 19 on-site meeting. Wright still needs to place riprap and
grade at the headwall to provide for positive drainage to the creek. At the 8'x 5' box
culvert site, Sutton has completed the pavement replacement except for sealing the joints
which will be done along with the pavement at the intersection of Freeport Parkway and
1-635. Wright still needs to place riprap around both headwalls and grade around both
headwalls to provide positive drainage through the system. At the 54" RCP and drive site
at the intersection of Freeport Parkway and 1-635, all of the pavement has been poured
that does not have brick pavers on top of it and the dummy joints have been sawed. All
forms are installed and steel in place for areas that have not been paved. A hole was left
in the pavement for the 2'x3' traffic rated concrete box to be installed. Another concrete
box was found to the south of the pavement. I could not tell whether this box is to be
installed at that location or this is the old box that was removed. No 3" conduit was seen
at either box location. Traffic barrels were in place along Freeport Parkway. A stockpile
is on site containing asphalt and concrete spoil material. Sutton stills needs to pave
directly in front of the curb inlet and install a curb from the inlet north to the existing
curb. An erosion control measure is needed in front of the curb inlet to keep sediments
from entering the storm sewer system.
