Mike, The contractor has installed asphalt for temporary paving on the east side of Freeport Parkway at
Southwestern. The west side of Freeport Parkway was excavated yesterday, will have a cement treated base
today, and will be poured tomorrow. The concrete will set and cure until Thursday, December 24. 1998 at which
time the barrels and barricades will be removed. This will leave all 4 lanes of Freeport Parkway open for the
Holidays. The concrete for the east side of Freepor~ Parkway will be poured at the beginning of January, The
contractor also added more barreIs between the 2-way traffic on the east side of Freeport, added a 2-way traffic
sign in the north bound direction, and removed the left turn only sign in the south bound direction. The barrels on
the south side of the intersection were moved to the SOuth to allow for truck maneuverability, The contractor
should be commended of his flexibility and cooperation. Please let me know if there are any other problems,
