Concrete SpecIficatIOns
Dear Mr CaudIll
ThiS letter IS wntten to remmd you that the specIficatIOns for concrete pavIng state that all
pavmg is to be placed With a "self propelled" pavmg machme. The only areas allowed to be
"hand placed" are cIty-approved locations. It's my understandmg that you have chosen to
"hand place" about 140' of the Sandy Lake Road pavmg In the Coppell Road Intersection.
Based on my conversatlon With John Gay, If the fimshed dnvmg surface does not meet our
expectatIOns, then TIseo Pavmg Will be reqUlred to remove and replace the concrete pavIng
accordmg to speCifications. I understand why you are choosmg to "hand place" the
concrete, but my obhgatIOn IS to ensure a quahty fimshed product. Hopefully, the "hand
placed" concrete WIll be acceptable and we WIll not need to address thIS Issue In the future
